We make sure that your messages are going to the right place by asking patients to verify their date of birth every 30 days.
Active patients will see the following message when they first access Klara, and will be asked to confirm their date of birth every 30 days:
Once the patient submits their information, Klara will check that the DOB entered by the patient matches what you have on file for that phone number. If the DOB does not match, Klara will allow the patient to retry two more times before locking the patient out of their account for 60 minutes.
You will be notified that the patient has entered a DOB that's different from what you have listed in their account. Once you update the DOB on record, the patient will be notified that they can start sending and receiving messages through Klara.
