To get started using Klara with your doctor for the first time, you have one of two options: 

Reach out using the "Message us" chat bubble on the practices website:

When you visit the practice's website, you will see a blue "Message us" chat bubble in the bottom right corner


If you click on this button, you will be prompted to put in your cell phone number


After putting in your number, you will be texted a 4 digit verification code (no passwords required!). 


After putting in this verification code, you will be asked to put in your date of birth (Note: this is only required upon your first log in).


From here, you will be brought to the message composer, and can send a message directly to the practice!

Responding to a message from your doctor's office: 

When you receive a text from your doctor on Klara, click on the link in the text message. 

You will be brought to this screen, where you can enter your date of birth. This is to verify your identity. (Note: You only have to enter your date of birth the first time you log in, as well as once every 30 days, so we can keep your account secure). 

When you put in your date of birth, click confirm, and then you’ll be brought into Klara (where you’ll see the message from your doctor). 

Note: If you see this screen below, it means that your doctor’s office has a different date of birth on file for you. In that case, please double check that you have put in the correct date, and then hit confirm again.

Once you’ve confirmed that date of birth, you will see the screen below. Klara will notify your doctor’s office that they have the incorrect date of birth — and once they update your information, you’ll be able to log in again. We’ll send you a text message when that happens.
